PTTW.org Accessibility Statement

We want PTTW.info to be accessible to every user of the Internet. In order to do this we have followed the advice given in Mark Pilgrim's Dive Into Accessibility web site. We have implemented the following guidelines through out PTTW.org.

Access Keys

Most browsers support jumping to specific links by typing keys defined on the web site. In Internet Explorer, you can press ALT + an access key. Macintosh users can press Control + an access key.

24 September 2007:  Note - In Firefox 2.0.* you have to use ALT+SHIFT plus the access key number. More information on Firefox and access keys can be found at Semantic Frenzy and Juicy Studio Eventually as part of our site redesign, we will be adopting the list of access key assignments suggested by the UK's e-Government Interoperability Framework (e-GIF) recommendations. Why is a U. S. based website using the UK standards? Because we couldn't find any U. S. standards. Should we find any standards issued by the W3C we will switch to them and update this page.

In IE 7, the e-mail access key goes to the link to the e-mail address, the home page access key goes to the home page link, and the accessibility statement page access key goes to the link to the accessibility statement page, all three of which are at the bottom of each web page. The search site access key takes you to the search box in IE 7, but does not put the cursor in the search field.

Navigation Aids

All of the pages on PTTW.info have rel=previous, next, up, and home links to aid users of text only browsers. Users of Netscape 6+ and Mozilla can also access the site navigation bar.
